I was introduced to Dr. Phillip G. Speegle at the Tampa General Orthopedic Trauma clinic. He became an important mentor and granted me access to the orthopedic residents and attendings. Dr. Fredrick McClimans also allowed me open door access to his private orthopedic surgery practice.

Activities: During my summer, and Christmas breaks I was able to work at Lee Memorial Hospital in Ft. Myers, FL. I worked in many different capacities. My first summer break I worked as an orderly on the orthopedic surgery floor. I later worked in the emergency room as an emergency medical technician. These early opportunities offered me valuable insight into the practice of medicine.
